This was the 6th year in a row for ASSA ABLOY to participate at Intersec 2018 – the leading safety and security exhibition from January 21-23rd. In 2018, Intersec marked its 20th anniversary, welcoming over 30,000 visitors and solidifying its’ status as one of the most popular technical trade fairs in the Middle East and Africa. The company was also the bronze sponsor of this highly anticipated event with more than 1,300 exhibitors demonstrating their comprehensive product offerings at the 60,000 square meters venue at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

ASSA ABLOY showcased a unique range of its’ connected security solutions for smart buildings in the perimeter and physical security section, bringing an urban experience of tomorrow for residential and commercial infrastructures to life.

During this three day event, the spotlight was on ASSA ABLOY’s latest technologies in areas of wireless and real-time access control, smart living, intelligent key and asset management, as well as high-security electromechanical locking solutions.

ASSA ABLOY introduced Aperio® H100 in the Middle Eastern market. A new addition to the product range, Aperio® H100 packs the power and flexibility of wireless electronic access control into a stylish door handle. Its wireless technology is built on an open platform, enabling smooth integration with security and automated building management solutions from over 100 different OEMs. Aperio® is easy to retrofit to any door, making building smart and more efficient. Maxxes and Nedap, key partners of ASSA ABLOY joined the company on the stand for up and running integration sessions with Aperio®.

New IKON’s CLIQ® Go app, on the other hand, became a highlight for small companies and private users. The CLIQ® Go locking system allows businesses to manage security and access rights on the go from anywhere in the world with no hassle, saving time and money in the process. ASSA ABLOY CLIQ® Go also won GIT SECURITY AWARD 2018 and stood first in the category of Access Control.

Yale had showcased its’ Smart Living range of connected residential security solutions including Smart Door Locks, Home Alarms, CCTV systems and IP Cameras. End –users can connect and control all of these products via the Yale Home app.

In addition, Tesa exhibited SMARTair™ - a standalone access control system for small and medium-sized businesses along with new Openow smartphone app, enabling users to unlock protected doors via an encrypted Bluetooth connection.

Visitors were also interested in learning more about raising the security and efficiency of their premises while cutting the costs with seamless integration of high security mechanical and electronic technology of CLIQ® solutions from ABLOY and intelligent key and asset management systems from Traka.

Going along with The Smart Dubai initiative anchored in the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, company’s marketing campaign was built around three communications pillars: people, environment and living. ASSA ABLOY had highlighted the fact it’s smart technologies making life simpler and safer every day, satisfying the growing need for integrated and building management solutions, driven by safe city concept and contributing towards Dubai’s futuristic vision of becoming a smart city.
